Cheeseballs by the hundreds were made by members of the CU TTT club last Saturday
morning in preparation for their organization's second annual holiday fund raiser.
The group noted a good turnout of more than two dozen members who divided into smaller groups for assembly-style manufacture. The head cheese for the fundraiser--Linda Schroeder--said they used 380 pounds of Wisconsin cheese to make slightly more than 500 cheeseballs. The ladies spent most of Saturday morning making the delicious cheeseballs, rolling them in pecans, and packaging them for delivery. Proceeds from the fund raiser will go towards Christmas gift giving for residents of Coon Rapids, and also to send camp girls to Eden Valley, MN. There are still some cheeseballs that haven't been sold. If interested, contact Linda Schroeder, Janice Dixon, or Karen Hess. They cost $5 apiece. |
