SELF TOTEM POLE
In their late twenties or early thirties, most Fluxus Indians prepared an AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL COLLAGE.

This exercise promoted stock-taking and a clarification of one's values and interests. The sharpened sense of values, interests, and self served to guide the Fluxus Indian throughout the rest of his or her life.

Constructing an Autobiographical Collage also advanced the development of individual graphic design styles--the foundation of the Fluxus Indians' visual culture.
